TCPs work outdoors around moving traffic and changing site conditions. The role requires clear communication, sustained attention, reliable transportation to assigned sites, and the ability to follow the traffic-control plan and site-specific direction throughout the shift.

WorkSafeBC requires a TCP to complete a Board-approved traffic-control training program. Check the current approved training requirements and the BCCSA TCP program directly before applying.

• Availability and reliable contact information
• Ability to work outdoors and remain attentive around live traffic
• Willingness to complete site-specific orientation and follow the assigned supervisor
• Any licence, transportation, or equipment information requested for the specific opening
