Applying as LCT

This page is for experienced applicants seeking Lane Closure Technician work with Safeside. LCT work is a field-leadership role: reading the approved plan, coordinating setup and takedown, briefing the crew, monitoring the work zone, and responding when conditions change.

The role is distinct from booking lane-closure services. Project owners should use the lane-closure service page or contact Safeside for a quote.

British Columbia traffic control must follow the workplace-specific plan and applicable requirements in Part 18 of the OHS Regulation. Applicants should be ready to explain how they apply those requirements in the field.

• Current TCP and lane-closure training or qualifications relevant to the role
• Recent field experience with temporary traffic-control setups
• Experience leading TCP crews and documenting site changes
• Availability, transportation, and ability to reach Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley sites
• A safety-first approach to changing traffic, weather, visibility, and access conditions
