Traffic Control Services

Safeside provides traffic-control personnel and field support for planned work zones across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. The scope starts with the work location, road authority, schedule, hazards, and approved traffic-control documents—not a one-size-fits-all crew count.

Under WorkSafeBC Part 18, traffic control is used to protect workers and move traffic safely through a work zone. The employer must ensure a risk assessment and workplace-specific traffic-control plan are in place when workers may be exposed to traffic.

• Traffic Control Persons positioned and coordinated under the approved plan
• Temporary signs, paddles, cones, and other devices specified for the setup
• Site-specific orientation and communication with the designated supervisor
• Setup monitoring and adjustments when approved conditions or hazards change
• Coordination with lane closures, pedestrian routes, deliveries, and work vehicles

Provide the exact site, road authority if known, dates and hours, work activity, number of work vehicles, lane or sidewalk impacts, and the approved plan and permit conditions. Identify any transit, cycling, pedestrian, school, business-access, or emergency-access constraints.

Safeside will confirm the field scope that can be supported. Permit issuance and approval remain with the applicable authority and project owner unless a different responsibility is agreed in writing.
